August 13/14/15 is the historic day when Vigo welcomes Boat GP drivers from all over the world to participate in the second round of the 2005 session. A challenging weekend will present the World Championship run on Sunday and the European Cup on Monday.

August 13/14/15 is the historic day when Vigo welcomes Boat GP drivers from all over the world to participate in the second round of the 2005 session. A challenging weekend will present the World Championship run on Sunday and the European Cup on Monday.

Under the Spanish sun, 23 teams have been preparing for the events after 9 weeks of break in the calendar and also before another major task of shipping their racing equipment to the Far-East . The 1940 meter long, harbour course of Vigo contains 4 left and 1 right turn for the drivers arriving from 12 different countries (Latvia, Russia, Hungary, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Italy, United States, United Arabic Emirates, Norway, Sweden and the Netherlands). Russian flag will be hoisted from now on with Sergey Nikitin joining the Series, such as Finland taking part, being represented by Mikki Fors.

Returning to the races, Bruno Corsin of France and Tullio Abbate from Italy are to fight for the podium places. Local favourite, Francisco Sanchez and his DAC will be the one to be watched by the crowds around the port area.

The coming weekend has much to offer and much to think about for all contestants, exciting days will decide the winners of the first ever Spanish GP and the inaugural European Cup. The picturesque Galician city among the mountains and its officials together with the patron persons from Davila Sports and the Mayor of Vigo, Mrs. Corina Porro along with the organizers of Boat GP are proud to present the second leg of 2005 in Spain.
