 The starting round of next season will again be placed in Croatia after the previous 2 rounds held in Zadar in 2003 and 2004, but this time at the riverside of Danube in the heart of the country. The contract singing celebration of the event took place last week at the Press Conference held locally in Vukovar along with the President of Croatian Motonautical Union, Mr. Davor Buljan , Major of Vukovar Mr.Tomislav Sota and the representative of Croatia Government Mr. Petar Mlinaric .
The Boat GP will again be raced on river Danube after the Hungarian GPs in a picturesque area that was formerly ruined by the Balcan war, but will act an important role in making it again well-known and favored by tourist and visitors. The City of Vukovar and its citizens are proud to be a stage of Boat GP World Powerboat Championship and be a member of UIM racing calendar.
On the way of confirming the 2006 Calendar, the Croatian GP is announced first, but the 2005 season is still to continue in 5 weeks’ time at Seoul, South Korea with defending World Champion Jonas Andersson also shipping his equipment there to re-join the fight after the birth of his baby.
