| CHINA CONFIRMS F2000 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT IN WANZHOU | Beijing (China), May 20th
Jose del Palacio, Boat GP CEO, and Mr.Xin Qunying, Deputy Director of the China Watersports Federation, have signed an historic contract to bring the UIM Formula 2000 round to China. It will be organised in the beautiful and exotic city of Wanzhou, with 1.7 million inhabitants, in the central China province of Chongqing, on the famous Yangtze river.

Jose del Palacio, Boat GP CEO, and Mr.Xin Qunying, Deputy Director of the China Watersports Federation, have signed an historic contract to bring the UIM Formula 2000 round to China. It will be organised in the beautiful and exotic city of Wanzhou, with 1.7 million inhabitants, in the central China province of Chongqing, on the famous Yangtze river.
Homologation of the circuit has commenced, together with the establishment of the local committee of organisation drawing specialists from the Government, local town officers, port authorities, and logistic specialists.
UIM promoter Jose del Palacio commented that “this is the biggest step that our class has taken, and I thank all of China for the incredible reception and tremendous friendship already shown to us. This event will set new standards for the drivers and the sport in general, and create an event to be remembered by all for its excellence”.
This momentous event lays the foundation stone for the Asian part of the World Championship Tour covering China, Korea, and Middle East.
