Tommy Wahlstein of Sweden (93, Molgaard) at his first ever start in F2000 reached a remarkable fourth position, for another Formula 2000 rookie, although this native of Nora is now stepping up after many years in his home championships.
Most impressive local result was achieved by Uvis Slakteris (51, Molgaard) on the fifth place, followed by Philipe Tourre (6, Molgaard) closing the top six all driving Molgaards.
Pablo Galilea suffered the only accident during the Timed Trial, though setting the seventh best result, right after passing the timing line ht a rogue wave and rolled over and had to be towed away off the course with minor injuries, but serious damage
on his boat.
