A calm and cloudy Sunday begun with the Drivers` Briefing that continued with a Free Practise to adjust the setup fitting to the actual wheather and water conditions. Comparing to yesterday, the sky turned to cloudy and the wind stopped that resulted in a busy practice session on river Daugava.
Andersson (8, Molgaard) clocked the best time of 00:48:00 out of the 16 drivers attending the session, then newcomer Swede Tommy Wahlsten (93, Molgaard) pushed up to 00:48:28 secs who was followed by Colin Jelf (4, Molgaard) setting the third most effective effort.
The third annual Latvian GP of UIM - F2000 World Powerboat Championship will start at 15:30 local time with 36 laps on the 5-pin course with 18 drivers, missing out Pablo Galilea of France (26, Hulley) who unluckily rolled over at yesterday`s first Timed Trial and UAE`s Arif Al Zafeen who needed to be transported to hospital immediately with
returning internal problems that he suffered from during last year`s Korean GP as well, though his complete equipment had been transported to Riga for participation. Hoping in his earliest recovery, all the F2000 Family members wish their
best to the native of Dubai.
