With the following objectives:-

- To support F2000 and enhance its image world wide

- To establish an open relationship and communications with the Promoter

- To keep all members of the Association informed of developments as they occur

- To actively involve all members of the Association in the improvement of the series by developing rules and procedures tailored precisely to suit it and pro-actively campaign for this through all official channels

Jeni Jelf was elected as the first Chairwoman of the Association and stated that “I am honoured and happy to take up the challenge to guide the Associate through its first formative period, and will work to make it a success. It goes without saying that we must all work together to produce constructive ideas and proposals to make our Series even more successful than it is now, and we must see that we are supported at all levels in the sport”.

When interviewed after the meeting Jose Luis del Palacio said “ I am pleased to see the teams take this great step to develop their existing professional achievements even further, and looked forward to a good relationship with the Association, which I am sure will very much enhance the overall success of Formula 2000 World Championship.
