After the resounding success of the race in Wanzhou this year, with the hundreds of thousands of spectators and nationwide live television coverage, Mr del Palacio confirmed that his sole interest is to build on the success of the 2006 race, and use it as a solid foundation to bring the F2000 programme to an even bigger audience, with top class racing. He and his team looked forward to working with the Federation and the local organisers again.

The event date will be arranged to be in the early October National Week of festivities, and the Chinese Federation is currently reviewing the available venues to select the one most suitable.

The very positive feedback from all of the teams that visited China this year, suggests that there will be a lot of competition for the spaces available, and the European start of the Championship will lead-on to a thrilling and impressive Asian tour.
